Eve Ensler, "Until the Violence Stops"

Tony award winning playwright, performer, writer and human rights activist, Eve ensler is best known for her play, The Vagina Monologues. the world-wide success of the Monologues led to Eve Ensler's establishment of V-Day, a global activist movement and organisation to stop violence against women and girls. In 2011, V-Day and Foundation Panzi (DRC), with support from UNICEF, opened the City of Joy for women survivors of gender violence in Bukavu, DRC. Eve Ensler's latest play, "Iam an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World" made the New York Times bestseller list and has been performed from lJohannesburg to Paris.

Eve Ensler has been invited to speak on the eve of a major international conference, Justice for All? co-hosted by the AHRCentre and the Faculties of Law and Arts and Social Sciences at the University of New south Wales. The conference will mark the 10th anniversary of the operation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) and disucss its work and impact during its first decade, including its role and success in achieving gender justice.
